The start before the start

Well I've never done a blog before, so we'll see how this turns out, but for all you guys who want to know all about my adventure this will make it easier for you :)

To be honest there really isn't much to report on at the moment that would make it look like Ireland is fantastic right now. The plane from Chicago to Boston I became sick on, the flight from Boston to Ireland felt like it took forever, and these past two days here haven't been super eventful. I'm quite homesick at the moment. I stay in my room most the day waiting for people to get up so I can talk to them. I go out for food and that's about it.

But like my post says its the start before the start. Orientation is tomorrow so I'll get all the important information like registering for classes and registering with Immigration, and getting a better tour of the campus. I'll get to sign up for the International Club which means I'll start meeting people from all over the place, I'll start going on trips, and my life here in Ireland will get a lot more eventful. I'll hopefully learn when other clubs are holding their sign up information, because they have an archery club here that I would really like to join. Classes start on Monday. So once I become more involved and have a set schedule the homesickness will start to fade.

So far I have 3 roommates. (I live in an aparment/suite type place) Two guys from Ireland on the first floor and another girl from the states on the second. I don't see much of the guys, but considering they're from here they probably already have friends to go out with. I get along with the girl, whose name is Nicole, and that's a relief. It's always good to have a compatible roommate. So it looks like things are going to turn out pretty well here.

So while this isn't much of a post, I'm sure I'll much more to post and write about once my adventure really begins!
